In December, Belmont University students pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BA/BS in Audio Engineering partnered together to record two songs from a new musical by Grammy Award Winner, Marcus Hummon. No Man’s Land tells the story of the Christmas Truce of 1914 and hosted a workshop in Cardiff, Wales with Belmont Musical Theatre students and students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as part of an upcoming Maymester in the United Kingdom. Directed by Erica Aubrey (Belmont Musical Theatre Instructor) and conducted by Nate Strasser (Belmont Musical Theatre Instructor), the show will have its world premiere with a full production on campus Oct 4th-6th.
Marcus & Erica Aubrey, Professor of Theater and Voice at Belmont (and director of 'No Man's Land') decided to showcase an abridged version of the musical for the CCJ, Thistle Farms and St. A's community on Oct 17th. It will be a concert of 8-10 highlights from the show, sung by the cast and accompanied by Nathan our music director and Marcus.
